PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAM 

jointly organized by Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) and Virtual Education Project Pakistan (VEPP) Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, is providing world class scientific training to the graduate students in the areas of molecular medicine and drug discovery by focusing on the development of new and effective diagnostic and treatment techniques against prevailing diseases.

The center is also fostering scientific collaboration by providing forum for information exchange and joint studies between health related academic disciplines. Raising general awareness about the diseases and their prevention, cure and treatment is also an important activity of the PCMD. The management of PCMD and VEPP has been organizing a series of popular lectures for public awareness on common diseases of Pakistan for three years.

 I he upcoming lecture of this series entitled, "PROMOTION OF MENTAL HEALTH AND PREVENTION OF PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDERS", will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Muhammad lqbal Afridi, Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC), Karachi, on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2015 (03:00 pm) in Video Conferencing room of the L.E.J. National Science Information Center, International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi.

Health professionals, students, research scholars, NGO representatives, and general public are invited to attend this program. P.S. Transport will be available from NIPA Chorangi at 02:15 pm (in front of Nadeem Medical Center). Lecture will be followed by refreshment.
